Single Casa De Angeles Orphanage Light Blue Silicone Wristband Cause Bracelet (Adult) - 100% to Charity - Sale

This light blue wristband reads "Casa De Angeles" ("House of Angels" in Spanish) and benefits the Casa De Angeles Foundation which supports a Guatemalan orphanage. It is in the Adult Large size. We also carry it in the Youth/Adult Small size at CB122.

Casa De Angeles is an orphanage established by two dedicated Spanish nuns, Sister Elvisa and Sister Betsebe (biological sisters from Barcelona, Spain)(see alternative photo of the sisters and the children), from the Misioneras del Nino Desamparado (Mission to Needy Children). The orphanage is located just outside Antigua, Guatemala. With the barest of necessities, these two young nuns (in their twenties) established an orphanage to care for 18 children under the age of three, one third with severe physical disabilities. In 1999, a US medical mission met the recently established orphanage and their hearts went out to them. There was nothing in the storage cupboard, and they were living in a bare bones building without a refrigerator, washing machine or other modern amenities. The members of the medical mission began the non profit Casa De Angeles Foundation to raise money for the orphanage's most urgent needs. Later, the Foundation raised money to help purchase a new permanent site and construct buildings for the orphanage closer to medical facilities. At Christmas time, Carina has donated part of the proceeds from the sale of Murano glass angels to Casa de Angeles, and attended fundraisers for it for four years.
