Chinese Knotted Bracelet with Genuine Canadian Jade by Han Jewel (BS47)

This unique Chinese knotted bracelet features a central dramatic deep green Canadian jade bar in a long oval shape, which is curved to fit the wrist comfortably. The central jade piece measures approx. 2 inches across, and is hand knotted with deep green cotton cord. Two matching green jade donut beads are at the end of the cords.

This lovely piece was hand knotted by Han Jewel, two California Chinese girlfriends. It adjusts to fit from 6 inches to 8 inches by pulling the end cords.

Chinese knotting is an ancient folk art, which has existed in Chinese daily life for more than a thousand years. Jade is a symbol of wealth and power in China. Ancient Chinese believed that jade was a link between human beings and the golds and deflected evils. Confucius claimed that jade had the qualities of benevolence, wisdom, justice, courtesy, loyalty, happiness, trustworthiness, heaven, earth, virtue and truth.
