Chinese Knotted Bracelet with Genuine Carved Lantern and Jade Beads by Han Jewel (BS02)

This unique Chinese knotted bracelet features three central interlocking jade rings symbolizing "unity," surrounded by two carved pale green jade lanterns, symbolizing "guidance," with two dangling greenish white jade carved leaves symbolizing "success in your career." This lovely piece was hand knotted by Han Jewel, two California Chinese girlfriends. The piece features genuine Chinese jade with intricately knotted forest green cotton cord. It adjusts to fit from 6 inches to 8-3/4 inches by pulling the end cords.

Chinese knotting is an ancient folk art, which has existed in Chinese daily life for more than a thousand years. Jade is a symbol of wealth and power in China. Ancient Chinese believed that jade was a link between human beings and the golds and deflected evils. Confucius claimed that jade had the qualities of benevolence, wisdom, justice, courtesy, loyalty, happiness, trustworthiness, heaven, earth, virtue and truth.
