Lisbon's Torre de Belem Landmark Bead in Sterling Silver by Carina
Lisbon's Torre de Belem is one of the most famous landmarks in Portugal and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The tower was a defensive military tower built to protect against intruders at the entrance of the River Tagus. Construction began in 1514 under the supervision of architect Francisco de Arruda. By 1520, it was complete, and ever since then, it has remained as one of the world's most beautiful examples of military architecture.
Remember your visit to the Torre de Belem with this 3-D sterling silver bead featuring an accurate rendition of the famous fortress. This bead features a 5 mm. interior smooth bore bead hole to wear as a pendant or on a bracelet. This detailed bead was designed by San Francisco Bay Area artist Shani Yokoyama, hand carved by a master bead wax carver, and then cast in high quality sterling silver with oxidized accents.
