Torre De Oro Landmark Bead in Sterling Silver by Carina
This beautiful sterling silver bead features the Torre De Oro (the Golden Tower) located in Seville, Spain. It has a 5 mm. interior bead hole to wear as a pendant or on a bracelet. This bead is compatible with chains by all the major brands, such as Chamilia, Pandora, Pasha, Biagi, Troll, Carina and Bling. Its measurements are approximately 1/2" long by 3/8" wide.
The tower was built originally in the 13th century by the Berbers to control access to Seville via the Guadalquivir River. A thick chain was stretched from the tower across the river to block passage. The tower was also used to store precious metals, a possible expalantion for its name. It is one of the most visited landmarks in Seville, one of Spain's most beautiful and popular destinations.
This incredibly detailed bead was designed by San Francisco Bay Area artist Shani Yokoyama, then hand carved by a master bead wax carver, and then cast in high quality sterling silver with oxidized accents. Clean only with a silver cleaning cloth, and do not use silver polish dip. Collect all of the Landmark Beads to remember your world travels.
